Nian Hua
Exhibition design for the National Libraries of China and New Zealand.
This was an amazing exhibition to be part of. We were given access to ancient artworks, most of which had never before been seen outside of China. Our imagework skills were put to the test as we worked hard to display each artist’s work to their best advantage, taking particular care to ensure the faithful reproduction of texture and colour.
The highly cost-effective use of free standing steel frames to create the portable exhibition space were designed to mimic the layout and flow within a particular style of traditional Chinese homes and allow for rapid make good and redeployment.
